Itinerary

Day 1: Puno

We will meet at 6 pm at our hotel’s lobby. After a brief presentation, we will provide relevant information about our journey and we will answer any doubt that you may have. If you feel like it, you can come walk around downtown Puno with us, we’ll visit the main square and markets. Optional: group dinner.

Day 2: Taticaca Lake

After having breakfast at our hotel, we’ll depart towards Esteves island, where our Kayak adventure on the highest navigable lake begins. After an hour paddling, we will arrive at the floating island of the Uros community. We leave the kayaks behind and head to Amantani island, where we will be welcomed by a local family with whom we’ll stay for the night. After having lunch, we will hike to the ceremonial center of Pachatata, where we’ll a meditation session where we will be able to connect with nature and ourselves. The day ends by paying tribute to mother earth with an ancestral ceremony performed by a local priest.

Day 3: Taticaca Lake

We wake up with the sunrise and have breakfast with the family that welcomed us before we say goodbye. We continue our to Taquile island, full of breathtaking views and unique customs. 

After lunch*, we head back to Puno on a smooth boat ride. We start getting ready for our next days in Bolivia. *Optional: 20 soles per person. Vegetarian option available; vegan options are limited.

Day 4: La Paz (via Copacabana)

Our day trip to Bolivia starts after having breakfast at the hotel. The bus journey includes an hour stop at Copacabana, an amazing town right at the border of Peru and Bolivia where we will be able to get a quick nibble. We estimate our arrival at La Paz hotel around 5 pm. After freshen in, we’ll go out for a nearby orientation walk around.

Day 5: La Paz (free day)

Walk around downtown and visit the mysterious witches market; ride the cable car and admire the views from El Alto; or face the “Death Road” by riding a bike through the Bolivian highlands to its jungle. La Paz has it all! Ask your Tour Leader about the optional activities available for today. A yoga session before breakfast is included on our itinerary.

Day 6: Uyuni Salt Flats

We make the most out of the day as we start early today for our morning flight to Uyuni. Our land cruisers will be waiting for us to start our salty adventure right away. First stop: train cemetery. Our local guide will explain the history behind and you’ll have enough time to take as many pictures as you wish. We continue then to Colchani, where we’ll learn about their traditional salt process from the producers themselves. Onto the salt flats, we will have many stops on the way, including a yoga session. This is the perfect location to play with perspective through the camera and witness the largest natural mirror of the world*. The day ends by reaching our salt hotel, where we will enjoy dinner together. If you want to pursue the Milky way*, we will have a short New Moon meditation, the last one in 2018, and we will set our intentions for next year. *Depending on weather conditions.

Day 7: Uyuni Salt Flats (overnight bus)

To admire the sunrise at the salt flats is a one-of-a-kind experience, so we begin our day before the sun does. Later on, we continue by exploring the high-plateau desert: breathtaking lakes, towering volcanoes and an incredible wildlife such as bright pink flamingos, cunning foxes and the funny looking long-tail Andean rabbits. One last stop for a thankful closure meditation to say goodbye to this incredible place. After lunch, we head back to Uyuni town, where we will have some free time to explore and rest before getting in our overnight bus back to La Paz.

Day 8: La Paz (free day)

We reach La Paz around 8 am and go to the hotel to leave our bags. There you can have some time to rest or get ready for your free day. Did you know that La Paz’ best restaurant is vegan? Or that you can rappel down 50 meters in the middle of the city? If you wish to know more, don’t doubt to ask us about the optional excursions available for today. A yoga session is included in our itinerary for tonight.

Day 9: Puno (via Tiwanaku & Aranmu Muru)

We head back to Peru after breakfast, making a stop at Tiwanaku, the cradle of our ancestors and one of the most impressive pre-inca ceremonial center in the Andes. Before crossing the border, we make sure we have all our documents in order. Having done this, we continue on our way to Puno, stoping we’ll at Aranmu Muru: one the most mysterious energetic places of the world. A tridimensional inca gate where we’ll close our journey with a final meditation. We arrive in Puno around 6 pm, ending our journey together.

STAFF

A bilingual Tour Leader along the trip. She will take care of all the organization and logistic details to ensure the smooth running of the operations and, in case of an unexpected situation, is a 100% ready to act on it.. She is also a certified yoga instructor and trained in photo technique and composition, prepared to lead the expeditions that will capture the best of the journey.

MEALS

Seven (7) breakfasts, three (3) lunches & two (2) dinners are included.

ACCOMODATION - FULL

ACTIVITIES - FULL

Kayaking at Lake Titicaca and guided visit to Uros island.

Guided visit to Taquile Island.

2D/1N guided adventure at Uyuni: Train cemetery, Colchani town, Uyuni salt flats, lakes, volcanoes and wildlife.
